Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering and Technology Book, 574 pages, 1st Edition, Hardcover with CD-ROM.  This contemporary overview of the electrical and electronics field strikes an effective balance between basic concepts and current relevant topics while also exploring common areas of application. Early chapters of the  are devoted to the fundamentals of DC circuits, basic transient circuits, and steady-state AC circuits, followed by coverage of linear and digital electronics. Emphasis is then directed toward the electro-mechanical areas of the field including magnetic circuits, three-phase circuits, DC and AC machines, and power transformers. Optional MultiSIM exercises are also included so that many of the same types of experiences that would be obtained in a supporting laboratory can be met with the accompanying software and a PC.

Benefits:
• Well-developed coverage of the basic areas of electrical circuit analysis provides the foundation necessary to grasp more advanced topics
• A modular approach permits readers to pick and choose topics providing maximum flexibility to teaching
• Calculus is used when appropriate, but is carefully explained and integrated into any relevant treatments from a practical viewpoint
• Coverage of such timely topics as programmable controllers, data conversion, and digital communication systems fosters competency in modern areas of application
